Berger Chevrolet Tips Hat to New Silverado Texas Edition

The Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck has many claims to fame. Look at last year's model alone. It was named 2011 Truck of the Year by Motor Trend magazine. It earned a laudable 4.5-out-of-5 overall consumer rating on Kelley Blue Book, ranking highest for reliability, quality and comfort. And, it's proven itself to be more of a road warrior than any of its closest competitors.

How could Chevy improve on such perfection? Berger Chevrolet concedes, it wasn't easy. After a lot of brainstorming, they decided to appeal to some of the most prominent truck buyers out there - Texans. That's right. To honor the residents responsible for buying roughly one out of every six pick trucks sold in the U.S.,  Chevrolet developed a special "Texas Edition" - to be introduced for the 2012 model year.

"We think the Silverado HD and Texas are a winning combination," said Dave Nottoli, discussing inception of the special edition. "We started with the Chevrolet Silverado HD, which was 2011...Truck of the Year, and gave it some Texas attitude...When you take the capability of the Silverado HD, then add the features and amenities of the Texas Edition, we think it will be a hit..."1

The Texas Edition will be available on both the forthcoming 2012 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD and 2012 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD. All Texas Editions will come with the standard features below.
