What’s New on the 2019 Silverado 1500 Design? | Grand Rapids MI

Silverado 1500 | Grand Rapids, MI

The 2019 Chevy Silverado 1500 comes with several exciting features for the new year. The revised Silverado 1500 design involves a more aerodynamic exterior and various powertrain options such as a best-in-class 420-horsepower V8 and an efficient V8.

Under the hood is your choice of five different engines: a 4.3-liter V6, 5.3-liter V8, 2.7-liter turbocharged four cylinder, 6.2-liter V8, and an all-new 3.0-liter Turbo-Diesel. When equipped with the 6.2-liter engine, the Silverado 1500 produces up to 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque.

According to The News Wheel, one of the most striking changes to the 2019 model is a lightweight design that improves performance, handling, and fuel economy. The Silverado has a mixed-material construction built over a high-strength steel frame, which cuts 450 pounds from the previous model year while maintaining a durable quality. Chevy aptly named the Silverado’s new bed design the Durabed.

Other cutting-edge features on the 2019 Silverado 1500 include available Advanced Active Safety features, Drive Mode Selector, and Advanced Trailering Technology that allows it to tow a grand total of 12,500 pounds. You can opt for the special Z71 Off-Road Package, which contains a special suspension with rancho shocks, automatic locking rear differential, Autotrac two-speed transfer case, and skid plates.

The all-new Silverado 1500 unveils a host of innovative features and designs. If you’d like to find out more or take a look at the 2019 Silverado 1500, then please visit us at Berger Chevrolet.
