Carol Carlson Employee Spotlight
We’d like to take a minute to congratulate a familiar face to most of us here at Berger. Congratulations Carol Carlson on being our September Employee Spotlight as well as your future retirement!
Carol started in the automotive business in 1971. Prior to working at Berger, she worked as a stocker and became an assistant parts manager before she transitioned to controller. It wasn’t until February 20, 2006, that Carol started at Berger as Office Manager. At that time there were about 155 employees compared to our 285 now. In her time here, Carol has worked with 1560 employees!
Although she doesn’t have a favorite memory here at Berger, the generosity of the Bergers and employees is what she will remember the most. There is no shortage of thoughtfulness when it comes to people rallying around and supporting one another.
Carol has been an inspirational voice here at Berger. Her advice to the younger generation of women goes as follows; work hard, work with your team, show respect, like who you work for, and take pride in the way you do your job.
As most of you know, Carol is planning to retire on January 6, 2023, just shy of 17 years. That’s in 63 working days, not that she’s counting! After retirement, Carol plans to spend time crafting and to spend more quality time with her family and friends. This involves heading down to the Kalamazoo area, to visit her two children and five grandchildren! She also plans to head down to warmer weather to meet up with friends in Florida, Texas, and Arizona! It’s good to have friends in warm places!
Although she will miss working here at Berger, she is thankful to have worked for Matt Berger for the last 6,164 days and counting!
Please join us in congratulating Carol Carlson on our Employee Spotlight as well as her future retirement! Thank you for all your hard work, dedication, attention to detail, dog treats, and smiles! We are so thankful to have you in our Berger family.
