SERVICE DEPARTMENT
Service Technician Job Description:
This position is onsite Monday – Friday (8am to 5pm) and a Saturday rotation (8am to 1pm).
- This position will provide technical repair and service work to various automotive vehicles.
- Perform multi-point inspections to GM specifications using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Perform road tests on automotive vehicles to assess vehicle performance and identify problems.
- Effectively communicate with Service Advisors to explain vehicle issues, repair options, and associated costs.
- Repair and replace automotive parts and systems, such as engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and exhaust systems, in a productive manner.
- Must follow manufacturer specifications when repairing customer and warranty vehicles.
- Maintain detailed records of all repairs, services, and parts used, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GM regulations.
- Maintain/calibrate tools and equipment regularly to ensure accuracy and safety.
- Assist co-workers with complex repair tasks when necessary.
- Stay up-to-date on training and certification programs to enhance automotive knowledge and skills.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to provide customers with a professional and welcoming atmosphere.
- Must adhere to shop safety protocols and guidelines.
- Other responsibilities may be assigned through continued employment.
Quick Lube Technician Job Description
This position is onsite Monday – Friday (7:30am to 5:30pm) with a Saturday (7:30am to 1:30pm) rotation.
- Perform vehicle oil changes, filter replacements, and other routine fluid services.
- Perform tire pressure checks and adjust air pressure as needed.
- Perform tire rotations on customer vehicles to ensure even tire wear.
- Perform multi-point inspections to GM specifications on automotive vehicles.
- Effectively communicate to the Quick Lube Advisors about any recommendations for additional vehicle servicing(s) based on the multi-point inspections.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to provide customers with a professional and welcoming atmosphere.
- Must adhere to shop safety protocols and guidelines.
- Other responsibilities may be assigned through continued employment.
Automotive Detailer Job Description
This position is onsite Monday – Friday (7:30am – 5:30pm) and a Saturday rotation (8am – 4pm).
- As an automotive detailer, you will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining the appearance of our inventory/client vehicles, and you will be operating buffers, steamers, vacuums, wash hoses, and other detailing equipment/cleaning agents.
- Vacuum, shampoo, steam-clean carpets and upholstery.
- Clean and condition leather/vinyl surfaces.
- Clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces.
- Wash, wax, and polish vehicle exteriors to restore shine and protect the paint.
- Apply paint sealants, ceramic coatings, and protective treatments as needed.
- Inspect vehicles for dirt, stains, scratches, dents, and other imperfections.
- Identify and address areas that require special attention or repair(s).
- Keep detailed records of the work performed and the condition of each vehicle and document any additional services provided.
- Maintain and clean detailing equipment/tools after use and properly store them in their correct locations.
- Moving and parking vehicles to their correct delivery location.
- Other responsibilities may be assigned through continued employment.
COLLISION CENTER
Body Shop Technician Job Description
This position is onsite Monday – Friday, 7:30am to 5pm.
- Repairing and restoring damaged automotive vehicles in an accident or other incidents.
- Inspecting damaged automotive vehicles and creating a repair plan.
- Performs meticulous disassembly of automotive vehicles.
- Repairing or replacing damaged auto body parts and mechanical components.
- Performing final inspections to ensure that the repairs meet General Motor quality standards.
- Communicating with estimators when additional repairs, difficulties, or problems arise.
- Maintains a safe, clean, and organized workplace.
- Other responsibilities may be assigned through continued employment.
