GARY BUSSCHER EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT

February 28th, 2022 by

After 13 years of working hard for Berger as a Parts Delivery Driver, Gary Busscher will soon be waving farewell to his esteemed career at Berger and commencing into retirement. While we are sad to see him go, we are grateful to have had such a wonderful person on our team!

Gary came to Berger after 35 years of working at UPS. Backed with a wealth of knowledge and experience, Gary has been nothing short of an amazing team member. Beyond his professional skills, Gary has a kind and humble outlook on the work he puts into his job every day. His biggest motivation is knowing that he is helping others with the work he does. More than that, he insisted that he truly enjoys working at Berger and is grateful to work for a family-owned business on such an awesome team.

Beyond his gratitude for his career, Gary also has a lot to be grateful for in his personal life. When asked what he is most grateful for, he said that he is happy to be healthy with a family. Gary has 3 sons and 8 grandkids. In some of his free time, you may catch him fanning over his grandchildren at their sporting events – from soccer, to volleyball, to basketball, to lacrosse, there may not be a sport that these kids don’t play!

One thing Gary doesn’t lack is Vitamin D and we don’t just mean the sun that peaks through the window of his delivery vehicle. Gary also enjoys spending his free time outside. From taking care of his lawn to working in his garden, if he has free time, you’ll probably find him outdoors.

Parts Driver Manager, Justin Searl, has been grateful to have Gary on his team. When asked to share why Gary was nominated for employee spotlight, he said that “Gary represents what it means to be a Berger employee. He is always willing to lead, provide an extra hand, and serve our customers with excellent service while keeping a smile on his face. We wish Gary nothing but the best as he retires, thank you for 13 years!”

Even though this goodbye will be a tough one, we are wishing Gary well into his retirement. Thank you for spending 13 amazing years with us Gary! We couldn’t be more thankful to have you in our Berger family.
