MELISSA SNYDER EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT
Let’s rewind to the spring of 2018. Melissa steps off the plane in Grand Rapids after a 14-hour flight from Korea, where she spent the last 18 months teaching Kindergarten abroad.
Melissa was ready to hang up her teaching boots and start a new career, which landed her here at Berger Chevrolet.
When Melissa joined our team four years ago, she started as our receptionist. Not long after she mastered the art of reception, Melissa was eager to take on more tasks and grow within our dealership. She credits a lot of what she has learned to Brittani Searl, HR Manager. Brittani passed along a great deal of knowledge and responsibilities to Melissa and is someone that Melissa trusts, respects, and knows will always be there to help when questions or concerns arise.
As our Accounting Clerk, Melissa’s main responsibilities revolve around processing warranties, cancellations, and rebates for new and used vehicle sales.
Melissa’s favorite part about working at Berger is the family environment she feels. She enjoys spending time with her team at the employee lunches and appreciates the laughter and banter among her team, especially on Friday’s. Who doesn’t love a good end of the week laugh?
When asked about her greatest motivator for working hard, Melissa paused. She said, “I think that’s just who I am.” At her core, Melissa strives to work hard and never let people down. She wants to be the best she can be in all aspects of life.
She is even willing to help other departments when needed – especially Marketing. You may have seen Melissa starring in our Berger TV Commercials!
In her free time, Melissa enjoys reading, being outdoors, and spending time with her friends and family. She feels so blessed to have a supportive, loving community around her.
