ADAM VAWTER EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT

Our September Employee Spotlight is a hard-working Sales Consultant who loves a competitive atmosphere. Congrats and Thank You are in order to Adam Vawter!

Adam grew up in Los Angeles, California where he became a baseball all-star. At the young age of 13, he won a Little League World Series. As he got older, Adam was awarded All-State, and even voted All-World MVP! He went on to play baseball in college before starting his journey in the automotive industry. As you can imagine, hard work and a competitive nature is in his DNA! 

Adam has worked in the automotive industry for the last nine years. Before joining the team at Berger Chevrolet, Adam worked as a Salesman, Sales Manager, and Finance Manager. It wasn’t until he met one of our Used Car Sales Managers by way of mutual friends that Berger and Adam finally found each other. When asked, “Why Berger?”, Adam put it simply, “They’re the best”. 

Adam appreciates that you have to be a true professional to succeed on the Vehicle Sales Team at Berger. He went on to say that his goal is “to be the best in the majors” and Berger is the major league. Berger sets high expectations in regard to processes and customer service, and working hard and staying diligent goes a long way for your career and personal development. 

Adam’s advice to anyone interested in working in the Berger Sales Department is that if you know you’re a hard worker, you can be successful. It’s important to rise to the occasion and take the competitive atmosphere in stride. The competition will help to push you to become better. 

Adam recently participated in Berger’s Employee Golf Outing where he played with his team, Natural Hazards. His favorite part was that it was just “car guys talking”. It’s a relaxed atmosphere where you can be yourself. A bonus was getting to drive the golf cart. 

When asked if there was someone in another department that he enjoys working with, he said Jeff Mariner, Finance Manager. “Jeff comes into work happy and is always willing to teach”.😉 When asked if there was someone in his department he wanted to give a shoutout to he said, “I should say Jeff again.” 😂 However, he extended the shoutout to all of the newer salespeople because they come in ready to work hard. 

Adam’s vehicle of choice is one of our favorites! He drives a Silverado High Country. He likes the High Country because it’s big and functional with a classy, timeless look. 

When Adam isn’t wheeling and dealing at Berger, you can find him hanging out and relaxing. He enjoys reading, going to the beach, traveling, and cruising through the countryside.
