ALLY WENZEL EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT
We’re starting spring with our first Parts Department feature of the year. Congratulations to our April 2025 Employee Spotlight, Ally Wenzel!
Ally joined the Berger Chevy team two years ago as our Parts Dispatcher. What is the role of a Parts Dispatcher, you ask? Great question! A typical day for Ally consists of assigning routes to our wholesale parts delivery drivers, managing driver’s hours, and ensuring our customers get their part orders in a timely manner. When not managing a delivery rush, she’s preparing and planning for the next one.
With over 125,000 GM OEM parts in stock, working in Berger’s Parts Department can be a fast-paced environment. When asked how she navigates the quick-moving environment, Ally emphasizes that time management and patience are key. Before her time at Berger, Ally had experience in a similar role, but after starting at Berger, she quickly had to adjust her skills to a larger scale. Working with roughly 50 delivery drivers and routes, being Berger’s Parts Dispatcher is no small feat. She is praised by managers and colleagues alike for her ability to adjust and navigate stressful situations through her “organizational skills, focus, and wonderful sense of humor!”
During her time as the Parts Dispatcher, Ally has witnessed the continuing expansion of our parts warehouse. Berger added an expansion to the warehouse in 2022, and while Ally didn’t see the construction of the building, she has been a big part of the utilization of the new space. She’s watched as our inventory of parts has grown higher and higher, and she’s also witnessed the expansion of both the business and the employees. One new initiative that she’s been excited to be a part of is adding delivery routes farther north and east in Michigan into areas like Traverse City and Flint.
One of the reasons Ally enjoys working at Berger Chevy is the people. She describes a sense of comfort within her team, where she knows that no matter what is thrown at her during the day, she can feel at ease knowing they will get the job done. When asked if there was anyone in her department that she would like to give a shoutout to, Ally answered with Justin Searl and Louie Howard. She’s grateful for Justin’s willingness to always help and she credits Louie for being the level-headed one who helps to keep her balanced.
This year, Berger is celebrating 100 years in business! Ally described this milestone as proof that Berger Chevrolet has always taken care of its customers, employees, and community. A business reaching 100 years is a major success and while she’s only been here for a small percentage of that time, she’s proud to be a part of it.
When not at work, Ally enjoys spending time with her husband and pets outdoors, especially during Michigan summers. Her pets include two dogs, one cat, and, most recently, chicks! This is her first try at chickens and her goal is to have her own farm-fresh eggs.
Once again, congratulations to Ally on being our April 2025 Employee Spotlight!
