All new Chevrolet vehicles at Berger offer an impressive array of safety features. Understanding their purposes and capabilities is important for every driver. Whether you are heading out for groceries, your daily work commute, or a weekend road trip, safety is our focus. The Chevy Safety Assist Bundle is a suite of advanced features that will help prevent and avoid accidents while you’re on the road.

Here’s a break down of The Chevy Safety Assist Bundle:

Forward Collision Alert and Automatic Emergency Breaking:
Chevrolet’s Forward Collision Alert and Automatic Emergency Braking uses a variety of camera views to keep an eye out for abrupt braking of the vehicle in front of you. The two features will work together to sound an alert and apply quick emergency braking if you haven’t done so already if a crash is detected.

Front Pedestrian Braking:
Like the feature we just described, Front Pedestrian Braking uses camera technologies and sensors to detect pedestrians walking in front of your vehicle. The system will alert you and provide emergency braking to help avoid an incident.

Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning:
With the Lane Keep Assist technology, your Chevrolet vehicle will use a quick steering wheel turn, or “nudge”, to alert you that you may be accidently moving outside of your lane. This technology is a similar concept to the typical rumble strips we feel along the shoulders of the road. But no worries, this warning won’t happen if your turn signal is in use!

As the name suggests, this feature is an “intelligent beam”! Using a sensor on your windshield, it will detect changes in lighting and traffic conditions to automatically switch from your bright headlights to your normal headlights while you’re driving in the dark.

Following Distance Indicator:
Finally, our Following Distance Indicator will be a helpful tool to be proactive against collisions. Your vehicle will digitally display the following gap distance between your Chevy and the vehicle ahead of you to allow you to make an educated decision if you’re driving too close to the vehicle in front of you.

All our Chevy vehicles have our six Chevy Safety technology features available, meaning that no matter what options you choose, you can drive with confidence when you’re out on the road. These features do not replace the need for driver’s responsibility but can be preventative to detrimental accidents and collisions. If you have more questions about any of our safety features, our team is here to help.
