CONNOR TEDROW EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT
Let’s hear it for our May 2026 Employee Spotlight and Tech Counter Parts Consultant, Connor Tedrow!
In July of this year, Connor will be celebrating his tenth anniversary at Berger Chevrolet. When he joined the Berger Team in 2016, Connor was balancing work and school and looking for a change of pace. Knowing he had an interest in the automotive industry, he searched Grand Rapids dealerships for a new job opportunity. Luckily for us, Berger Chevrolet had an opening.
Connor started out working alongside our Maintenance Extraordinaire, Brian Scott. After a few years on the maintenance team, a new opportunity fell into his lap. Mike Hartman, a fellow parts department colleague, asked if Connor had any interest in working at our Parts Tech Counter. Connor said yes, and it’s been the perfect fit ever since!
As a Tech Counter Parts Consultant, Connor works closely with Berger’s Service Department to complete maintenance jobs that require new parts. Acting as a bridge between our service and parts department, a typical day for Connor consists of checking on the status of existing parts orders and placing new ones. He remains in close contact with our Service Technicians and Advisors, finding them the parts that they need to complete a job and updating them on delivery statuses.
While there is a lot of routine to his day, Connor’s favorite part of his job is that no two days are exactly the same. He enjoys the challenge of sourcing parts for older, classic Chevy models or non-GM vehicles. He likes the balance of knowing what to expect and expecting the unexpected.
What he enjoys most about working at Berger is his coworkers. As a point of contact between departments, he gets to interact with more than just his fellow Tech Counter Parts Consultants. Connor finds that everyone he speaks to is easy to get along with, a common sentiment shared by the Berger Team. He also enjoys attending our Annual Berger Employee Golf Outing, a fun opportunity to get to know his colleagues outside of the dealership.
His advice to anyone interested in joining the Berger Team would be to just apply. Getting your foot in the door is the first step. From there, take the time to learn everything you can about your position, observe others, and take every opportunity to grow. You never know where your path may lead at Berger!
Someone within his own department that Connor would like to give a shout-out to is Curtis Davis, our Parts Shipping Associate. Curtis is always up for a good conversation, and Connor appreciates his enthusiasm for helping and getting to know his colleagues.
Outside of his department, Connor would like to give props to Jake Fifelski and Brad Stoffers, two of our Service Technicians. He commends both Techs for their professionalism and mastery of their craft, but what Connor enjoys most about working with them is that they know how to balance hard work and fun.
Last but not least, he’d like to give special shoutouts to Brian Scott, his first boss, and Gerry Rozeboom, Berger’s former Parts Manager, now happily retired! He credits both of them for showing him the ropes and teaching him a lot about what it means to be a part of the Berger Team.
A fun fact about Connor that not many people may know is that he likes to travel, and he once stayed in a castle in Scotland. Besides traveling, outside of work, he enjoys cooking, gardening, playing volleyball, and on Wednesday nights, you can often find him singing karaoke.
Help us congratulate Connor on being Berger’s May 2026 Employee Spotlight!
