DAVE HOWELL EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT

Please join us in congratulating Dave Howell, our May Employee Spotlight. Dave came to Berger Chevrolet by recommendation of a friend and quickly became part of the Berger family. 

Dave has been working in the automotive industry for 45 years. Ever since he was a kid he had an interest in cars. Dave currently works in our Collision Department as an Estimator. He helps to assess damaged vehicles and resolve customer issues while acting as an advocate on their behalf to their insurance companies. When customers come into Collision they are often stressed and overwhelmed with the vehicle repair process. Dave’s favorite part of his job is helping to resolve their issues and ease their worries. 

When asked about what makes Berger unique, Dave said he enjoys our Employee Luncheons during the summer and the rapport he has with his coworkers. 

Dave’s advice to anyone interested in working at Berger is that it’s, “a good place to work” and that collision repair is very specialized. Working in a body shop is similar everywhere, but the people at Berger are what make working here different. 

Although Dave enjoys all of his coworkers, he wanted to give a special shout-out to Brad in the Service Department. Whenever he has any mechanical issues, Dave can count on Brad to help him sort it out. He also wanted to give a shout-out to Jeremiah, our Body Shop Manager, even though Jeremiah was the one who nominated him for this interview😉. Dave is a valuable part of our team of 300 employees! Jeremiah and the Berger Leadership Team appreciate Dave’s dedication to his work and to his customers. 

When he isn’t helping customers Dave enjoys flying planes! That’s right, he’s a pilot. On the weekends he enjoys flying his wife to the east side of the state to visit their daughters.
