ETHAN ANGUS EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT

Please join us in congratulating and celebrating Ethan Angus, our December Employee Spotlight!

Ethan has been in the automotive industry since 2010 when he began selling vehicles at the age of 19 on the east side of Michigan. In 2017, he finally realized the West Side is the Best Side and planted his roots in beautiful West Michigan. One of our Used Car Sales Consultants, Todd Richards, spoke very highly of Berger Chevrolet and encouraged Ethan to learn more about the dealership. Upon meeting and interviewing with our General Sales Manager, Jeremy Rhoton, Ethan decided to give it a shot and join the Berger team! He admired Jeremy and went on to say that Jeremy is someone he enjoys working for. 

When Ethan joined the Berger team, he was well-versed in the automotive industry. He had worked as a Sales Consultant and in Sales Management, but he felt most aligned with and excited about working in Finance, which is where he realized “the car business will always be the industry [he wants] to be in!”. 

Since starting at Berger, Ethan has always been on the Finance Team within our Vehicle Sales Department; however, his role has changed and evolved throughout the years. His first position at Berger was in Special Finance, where he worked with customers who needed both reliable transportation and help building their credit score. He then transitioned to New Car Finance and then into Used Car Finance while assisting in the transition of his fellow Finance Managers. 

Ethan’s versatile background allows him to work with both our New and Used Sales Departments helping our Sales Consultants and customers alike with the vehicle purchase process.

Some of the reasons that Ethan enjoys working at Berger Chevrolet are the good people and good management. He also appreciates that Matt Berger is a generous person and always “puts money back into Berger, and that’s what makes it better”. He went on to say that you can always stand tall walking in and knowing that you work at Berger Chevrolet. 

Ethan’s advice to anyone interested in working in the Berger Sales Department is, “Come in hungry, keep your head down, work hard, listen, and you’ll make it.” 

When asked if there was anyone in another department that he enjoys working with he mentioned Jordan Eastwood, noting that Jordan is easy to work with and is his go-to Service Advisor. Ethan also wanted to give a shout out to Andy Blackledge, a fellow Finance Manager. He said that Andy is very helpful and that he’s always willing to help out a colleague or customer. 

Ethan proudly drives a white 2021 Chevy Silverado by Berger. When he’s not at work, he enjoys being outdoors. He likes to hunt, fish, and search for morel mushrooms when they’re in season. His favorite Berger event is our Employee Luncheons throughout the summer months! He looks forward to the connection felt amongst all of the departments coming together, as well as the employee appreciation.
