GREGG JOHNCOCK EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT

Congratulations are in order for our June Employee Spotlight, Gregg Johncock! 

Gregg began his journey at Berger on somewhat of a whim during an Indeed search for a new job. He was hired as a Picker/Stocker in our Parts Warehouse in 2021 and has quickly risen through the ranks. He is now a parts warehouse supervisor! His days are fueled by coffee and his responsibilities vary depending on the team’s focus each day. He checks in continuously throughout the day regarding the areas he is responsible for and formulates plans and workflows to help our warehouse processes improve. 

When asked what he’s most excited about in his job he said, “Growth. Not just personal”. He went on to say that our Parts Department is growing day by day and he is excited for our next warehouse expansion and continued growth of the team.  

Gregg not only enjoys Berger’s growth, but he also enjoys the people he works with, company culture, and of course, cars! So it would only make sense to have a career in the automotive industry. He’s also currently looking into getting a new Chevy from Berger!😉

When asked if he had any advice for someone interested in working in the Berger Parts Department he said, “Do it. Apply”. The workers here are good people. He also went on to say that it’s important to ask questions and communicate. Team members and management alike are always willing to answer. There are opportunities available for people who work hard. 

Gregg wanted to give a shout-out to everyone in the Parts Department; receiving, parts runners, dispatch, and beyond. It’s because of the entire team that his job is more enjoyable and he can stress less because of how awesome and reliable the team is. He also wanted to give everyone in our other departments a shout-out because every interaction he’s had with team members at Berger has been a good one. In fact, Gregg’s favorite Berger activity is anything that brings together all of our departments so that everyone can intermingle and get to know each other! 

When he’s not at work, Gregg enjoys backyard grilling and smoking meat, going to dirt track races, and hanging out with his four-year-old son! A fun fact about him that not many people know is that he likes to play blues, rock, and metal music on guitar! He’s also in the process of learning piano.
