LINDSEY KENT EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT

April 3rd, 2023 by

Our April Employee Spotlight is a hard-working team lead who views her coworkers like family and is always happy to help. Congrats and Thank You are in order to our Service BDC Team Lead, Lindsey Kent!

Lindsey came to Berger in 2018 after being referred by a friend, and she stayed because she enjoys working for the company, working alongside her coworkers, and the family-like atmosphere in the Berger Service Department.

When asked about Lindsey’s work ethic and impact on the Berger Team, Patty Vander Molen, Service BDC and Customer Experience Manager, said, “Lindsey is always going above and beyond for anyone or anything at Berger. She is a workhorse with such a great drive and has such a huge heart. She always gives 100% and would give the shirt off her back for anyone here at Berger.”

As our Service BDC Team Lead, Lindsey handles inbound/outbound calls with customers and schedules service appointments, but her favorite part about her role is the people she works with. Lindsey feels that a unique thing that is exclusive to Berger is our monthly summer luncheons, where all 300+ employees are invited to have a meal, enjoy live music, and share in each other’s company.

She also appreciates that the company is family oriented and went on to say that Berger is, “hands down the best place [she has] worked.” She really enjoys the sense of appreciation that the Berger leadership team has for the employees.

One of Lindsey’s favorite Berger events is the annual All GM Show where she likes to show off her 1980 Monte Carlo! She recently added a 1981 Buick Regal to her personal vehicle line-up and is eager to bring it to the show this summer! Lindsey enjoys checking out all of the classic GM vehicles that people bring to the show. Although she doesn’t golf, Lindsey also enjoys Berger’s Annual Employee Golf Outing, and earning bragging rights in the Service Department by winning squares during football and college basketball season.

Lindsey’s advice to anyone interested in working at Berger is to, “take the leap”. There are several different departments so it’s easy to change roles while staying at the same company if you think something would be a better fit. In fact, Lindsey herself has moved from being a Porter, to Rentals, to the Service BDC. There are many different avenues to take and a lot of opportunities to move up or around within the company.

When asked if there was anyone in another department that she enjoys working with she went on to say that she enjoys working with everyone. She gave a special shout-out to Megan, who she has worked with in reception, and RJ, who works in Parts. She appreciates their constant willingness to help. She also wanted to give a shout-out to everyone in the Service Department. To her, they feel like one big family!

In her free time, her four kids and two stepkids keep her on her toes. Between school and sports, she stays busy! On the weekends, you can find her knocking down pins in her bowling league.

Please join us in congratulating Lindsey as April’s Employee Spotlight! We’re so happy to have you on our team!
