RECOGNIZING LOCAL BUSINESSES ON NATIONAL MOM + POP BUSINESS DAY

March 29th, 2022 by

As a family-owned business for over 95 years, Berger Chevrolet celebrates National Mom and Pop Business Day in the best way we know how; by spotlighting other family-owned businesses in West Michigan!

Eastern Floral
For over 70 years, Eastern Floral has served the West Michigan Community, and has done it as a family! Running a business is not easy, but Eastern Floral has managed to do it, and do it well; they have won the “Best Florist” 11 years in a row, an award voted on by the Grand Rapids area community. So, for all of your floral and gift needs, stop by our neighbors at Eastern Floral at 2836 Broadmoor Ave SE today!

Cafe De Miro
Love Mediterranean food? Boy, do we have good news for you! Cafe De Miro was started by a couple that shares a passion for meaningful connection, especially over a great meal. With locations in both Breton Village and the Downtown Market, Cafe De Miro is obviously hitting the spot with many West Michiganders. Next time you’re stopping by Berger for an oil change, make a pit stop at Cafe De Miro for a latte to go!

Hometown Pharmacy
With over 40 locations spanning two states, it might be hard to remember that Hometown Pharmacy was started by a duo of brothers, both second-generation pharmacists who decided being business partners was next in their journey. Pick up all of your vitamins and medications at the nearest Hometown Pharmacy, we’re sure you won’t be disappointed.

Horrocks Market
Opened in 2002, Horrocks Market is a family-owned market with something for everyone. From house-made gelato to a full garden center, Horrocks’ selection of goods will not let you down. Make your trip what you want; go just for some groceries, or get ready for an entire landscaping project, but we’re sure you will leave with more than you are expecting to. ?

Malamiah Juice Bar
Named after the couple’s three sons: Malachi, Nehemiah, and Josiah, Malamiah Juice Bar is the epitome of a family business. Jermale and Anissa Eddie started this beloved Grand Rapids spot after starting juicing as a health benefit but quickly came to realize the need for nutritious juice in West Michigan. Now located in Studio Park at 122 Oakes St SW, Malamiah Juice Bar is ready for the whole city to love.

Starting off as a small, family-owned business is something Berger Chevrolet knows a bit about. In 1925, our founder, William H. Berger II, started W.H. Berger Motor Company or what is now known as Berger Chevrolet. Each day we are thankful for our roots as a family-owned business. From starting small to growing big, we hope that these family-owned businesses become your favorites too!
