SERVICE 2023 MARK OF EXCELLENCE AWARD

Join us in congratulating and celebrating our seven incredibly hard-working, diligent, and committed service technicians on achieving the 2023 GM Mark of Excellence Award! These determined techs were also ranked in the Top 20 Technicians in our Zone. 

These technicians recently had the opportunity to attend the GM Mark of Excellence Banquet to celebrate their accomplishments in the company of their loved ones as well as General Motors representatives and fellow GM Mark of Excellence award winners. Congratulations go out to Jeff Frankhouser, Ryan Degood, Jake Fifelski, Bryant Ciganik, Joe Hauser, Jared Novak, and Tim Glass! Thank you for all of your hard work and dedication to Berger’s Service Department over the years. Your performance, attention to detail, industry knowledge, and reliability are paramount to the success of our Service Department.

In order to receive this award, technicians must truly uphold a Mark of Excellence in their field among several rigorous categories:

1. Receive outstanding ratings from our Customer Satisfaction Index in the “Fix It Right The First Time” survey
2. Complete and pass all GM Emerging Issues Tests
3. Receive certification and the highest rank in GM Training
4. Complete and pass all Product Knowledge Tests
5. Receive higher rank with tenure in two criteria, number of years with GM dealerships and number of years at Berger Chevrolet

We are humbled and ecstatic that seven of the 20 technicians in our zone who received this award are employed here at Berger Chevrolet. Four of these techs hold the title of GM World Class Technicians, with several more technicians on our team currently working towards that achievement.

GM World Class Technicians achieve this status through rigorous training and earning certifications available from the GM Service Technical College and ASE Training Programs. The World Class Technician program provides technicians with the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge and skills to their employers and automotive service areas. Techs can achieve this elite status after achieving the strict requirements for their respective body or mechanical areas. This also includes obtaining a Master Technician Certification. That means that while keeping up with GM training standards and their job as a technician at Berger Chevrolet, the tech also has to complete eight additional assessments along with the accompanying ASE Certification to achieve this highly renowned status of World Class.
