YVETTE LOVERIDGE EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT

We’re starting off the new year with an Employee Spotlight! Help us congratulate our first feature of 2025, Yvette Loveridge!

Yvette’s journey at Berger has been unique in that she’s had experience in multiple departments throughout the dealership. She first started at Berger in 2011 as a Lot Spotter and then went on to Front Desk Receptionist where she spent a total of four years. In addition to working as the Receptionist, Yvette started taking on more file clerk and accounting responsibilities, but her ambition and drive didn’t stop there! While she was working 40 hours in the administrative office, she also began moonlighting in Service before she fully transferred to working in the Service BDC. Yvette then went on to work in the Service BDC for six years before returning to Berger as a Receptionist where she currently resides and thrives. 

In her current position, a typical day for Yvette consists of working closely with the vehicle sales team writing and scanning receipts. Because of her experience in several different departments, Yvette feels she has a better understanding of how her day-to-day tasks fit into the bigger picture of how the dealership runs. Every position and task has a greater value and plays a part in Berger’s ability to perform at the high level it does.

One of Yvette’s favorite parts of working in the automotive industry is how fast-paced it is. While she enjoys having her daily routine, she also appreciates that there is something new to learn every day at Berger. Another thing she really values here at Berger is the culture of hard work and dedication, a precedent that has been set by our owner himself and has trickled down to every one of our employees. Yvette attributed Berger to having a “truly unique work environment that is difficult to find anywhere else.”

If you’re interested in joining the Berger team, Yvette’s advice would be that if you want to join a fast-paced environment and a motivated team, then Berger is the best place to be!

When asked if there was someone in her department or another department that she’d like to give a shoutout to, Yvette responded that there were far too many wonderful people to choose from. She described her coworkers as having unique skills that all bring something necessary to the table. Yvette could not say enough good things about all the people she works with and described the relationships she has built here as friendships that will last a lifetime.

Now that it’s 2025, Berger Chevrolet has officially entered its 100th year of business! Berger’s centennial celebration is something that Yvette is so proud to be a part of. She believes that the longevity of Berger is not only a testament to our work in the community but it’s also a statement that says, “We’re not going anywhere!” To Yvette, the 100-year celebration gives a sense of security that if we can thrive for 100 years, we will continue to do so in the future and beyond. 

When not at work, you can find her playing music with her family or enjoying nature. Yvette likes to unwind at her happy place, the lakeshore, where she loves to take walks and go on hikes along the water. A fun fact you might not know about Yvette is that growing up, she was a theater kid! She hasn’t strayed too far from her roots though, as she still enjoys musicals with her daughter and she will occasionally audition for performances at the Grand Rapids Civic Theater.
