ALDEN MCAFEE EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT

September 1st, 2026 by

Help us congratulate our September 2026 Employee Spotlight, Alden McAfee!

Alden joined the Berger Team in 2014 as a Body Shop Estimator. His friend had been insisting he join the team for a while, and Alden was looking for a change. He wanted to be a part of something bigger in his career, and he found what he was looking for at Berger Chevy!

In 2017, Alden was promoted to his current title of Assistant Body Shop Manager. A typical day for him consists of ensuring our collision technicians have what they need to repair vehicles safely, properly, and in a timely manner. Berger’s Collision Center works with vehicles of all makes and models, and any insurance. From small dents to windshield replacements or major repairs, our team is here to get you back on the road as soon as possible.

Getting into a vehicle accident is stressful. Helping someone during a time of uncertainty is what Alden finds most rewarding about his job. Customers often come in worried about the cost of repairs, finding the time to have their vehicle repaired, and figuring out transportation in the meantime. Being able to help our clientele navigate these stressful situations is what he cares about most. With perks like free loaner vehicles during the duration of the vehicle repair, we do our best to alleviate as much stress as possible for our collision customers. Alden says the real reward is watching the weight be lifted off of people’s shoulders when they come to pick up their vehicle after a repair. He’s received handshakes and even hugs from customers filled with gratitude. If you’ve been in an accident and you’re in need of a collision center, Alden wants to assure you that Berger really does have your best interests at heart when it comes to you and your vehicle.

Another point of pride for Alden is the Berger Team itself. The thing that he enjoys most about working at Berger is the people he gets to work with day in and day out. With over 300 employees on our single campus, there are a lot of friendly faces to meet. Over the years, he’s appreciated getting to know so many wonderful people throughout all of our departments. In fact, when asked if there was someone in another department that he’d like to feature, he felt it was too difficult to single out just one or two people within the entire dealership.

Someone on the collision team that Alden would like to highlight is our Body Shop Estimator, Veronica M! He’d like to give her a shoutout for being an absolute rockstar. Her willingness to learn and her work ethic are great additions to the collision department.

At Berger, we like to bring our team together as much as we can. Some of the employee events that Alden enjoys most are the luncheons and the annual golf outing! He appreciates the luncheons because they’re a great way to step away from your desk to enjoy good food and good company. He also enjoys attending the employee golf outing as an opportunity to get to know his coworkers outside of the dealership.

When not at work, Alden spends his time playing basketball, practicing his golf swing, or watching his son play hockey. He likes to stay active by organizing a pick-up basketball game with some of his colleagues every other week, and he picked up golfing with his son, who joined us at the employee golf outing this year! A fun fact that not many people may know about Alden is that he has a black belt in karate. It’s been a few years, but he’s been known to break a board or two!

Once again, join us in congratulating our Employee Spotlight for September, Alden! Thank you for all that you do for the Berger Team.
